Dickinson Education Finance Corporation

The City of Dickinson authorized the creation of Dickinson Education Finance Corporation in September, 2000 through Resolution 524-2000 as a nonprofit higher education facilities corporation governed by the provisions of Section 53.35(b) of the Higher Education Authority Act (Chapter 53, Texas Education Code). The specific purposes for which the Corporation is organized and may issue bonds on behalf of the City are any purposes permitted by the Higher Education Authority Act including, but not limited to, the financing or refinancing of "educational facilities" or "housing facilities" and facilities which are incidental, subordinate, or related thereto, and to be done for or on behalf of the City.
