Public Hearing Delayed for Planned Development Along I-45

Public Hearing delayed for the 16 properties generally located east of the Gulf Freeway, north of Deats Road to the northmost Dickinson city limit boundary. 
Last week, the required public notices were posted on property and mailed out to all adjacent property owners within 750 ft per the City's code of ordinances. In response, the City has received numerous inquiries from property owners affected by the proposed change. 
To ensure that all concerns are heard and vetted, we will be delaying the public hearing to allow staff to spend additional time gathering feedback and completing additional work on the proposed Planned Development. 
When that work is complete, new notices will be posted on the properties and sent out to the required adjacent properties and a new public hearing will be set. 
The attached map shows the proposed area to be rezoned hatched in blue and yellow. Currently the property is zoned in Interstate Commercial and Conventional Residential, the zoning proposed is a planned development.
