The Hurricane Preparedness and Safety Fair is designed to help residents of Galveston County prepare for hurricane season. The fair will feature a seasonal outlook from the National Weather Service by forecaster Jeff Evans, door prizes, a touch-a-truck event with emergency response vehicles and more outside, face painting, preparedness vendors, kids activities, music, and so much more.

DICKINSON, TX - The Dickinson Office of Emergency Management is proud to announce the first annual Hurricane Preparedness and Safety Fair, in collaboration with the City of League City Office of Emergency Management, Galveston County Office of Emergency Management, Clear Lake Shores Office of Emergency Management, and Friendswood Office of Emergency Management. The fair will take place on June 17th from 10am to 1pm at Hometown Heroes Park in League City, Texas.

The Hurricane Preparedness and Safety Fair is designed to help residents of Galveston County prepare for hurricane season. The fair will feature a seasonal outlook from the National Weather Service by Meteorologist-in-Charge Jeff Evans, door prizes, a touch-a-truck event with emergency response vehicles and more outside, face painting, preparedness vendors, kids activities, music, and so much more.

"The Hurricane Preparedness and Safety Fair is a great opportunity for residents to learn how to prepare for a hurricane and other emergencies," said Dickinson Office of Emergency Management Director Derek Hunt. "We're excited to bring together experts from across the region to provide valuable information and resources to our community."

The fair will feature resources from emergency management experts, as well as interactive exhibits and demonstrations. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with representatives from emergency management agencies, learn about evacuation routes, and gather important preparedness and safety information.

"We encourage all residents to attend the Hurricane Preparedness and Safety Fair," said Ryan Edghill, Emergency Management Coordinator for the City of League City. "It's a great opportunity to learn how to protect your family and property during a hurricane, and to connect with your community."

The event is free and open to the public. For more information about the Hurricane Preparedness and Safety Fair, please visit www.dickinsontexas.gov/hurricanefair
